The Dealer

You book me.
You get me.

Dwan dealing cards at a poker table, chip rack in front of him Mid-deal · South Florida

I have been dealing poker across the South Florida bar league circuit for more than a decade. Most weeks of the year, I am behind a felt-topped table somewhere between West Palm Beach and Miami, running a tournament the way it was meant to be run.

I am not a casino agency. There is no booking app routing you to whichever dealer is free that night. When you hire me, you get me. I learn your group's rhythm, I know your regulars, and the next time we sit down it runs faster, smoother, and a lot more fun.

The kit is the kit: a 9-seat professional poker table, casino-weight chips, two decks in rotation, dealer button, and the experience to keep nine players happy for four hours straight without anyone arguing about a side pot.

You bring the players. I bring the cardroom.

Reliable, fair, and fast. The pros at our home game know quality dealing when they see it, and Dwan is the real deal. He's our guy now.

Common Questions

Things hosts
actually ask.

Is hiring a private poker dealer legal in Florida?
Yes, when the game is run within the limits of Florida Statute 849.085: players over 18, in a private dwelling, no admission charged, no commission paid for hosting. I am hired for the dealing service, the same way you would hire a caterer or a bartender. I do not handle money, take a rake, manage a prize pool, or operate the game itself. Game structure and any prize decisions are the host's responsibility. I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice; if your event involves significant prize money or is open to the public, talk to one before booking anyone.
Do I need to provide anything?
Just the players, the venue, and refreshments. I bring a 9-seat professional poker table, casino-weight chips, two decks in rotation, dealer button, and everything else. If you have your own table you would prefer to use, I can deal at it. Just mention it when you call.
How far will you travel?
Anywhere in South Florida. Palm Beach County is home base, but I regularly deal events in Broward and Miami-Dade. Travel within 30 miles of West Palm Beach is included. Beyond that, a small mileage fee applies, and I will quote it when you book.
How many players can you accommodate?
My table seats up to nine players plus the dealer. For larger events, bachelor parties, corporate nights, charity tournaments, I arrange multi-table setups. Tell me how many players you expect and I will structure it.
What games do you deal?
No-Limit Texas Hold'em is the workhorse. I also deal Pot-Limit Omaha and mixed games on request. For training parties I focus on Hold'em, it is the easiest to learn, the most fun to play, and the game most home players actually want to know.
Can you set up a tournament structure?
Yes. I will help the host design the blinds, levels, and starting stacks based on how long the night should run, and I deal it. Any prize structure is set and managed by the host, not by me. For charity nights I am happy to talk through formats that hosts have used successfully, but the host always controls the prize pool and any money side of the event.
How do I book?
Call or text me at 561-664-9609. I will confirm the date, get a few details about your event, and lock in the spot. A small deposit holds the booking; the balance is due day-of. Cash, Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App all work.
